1. Introduction

Matchply ("Application" or "Service") is owned and operated by Balkania LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").

Matchply ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

Personal Information

• Name, email address, and username (and, if you choose to add it, your legal name)
• Date of birth and gender
• Profile photo and team logos you upload
• If you sign in with Apple or Google: the account identifier and email address they share with us
• Location data (city, zip code, or precise GPS location if enabled by the user)
• Sports preferences and interests

We use location data (city/zip code and a search radius set by the user) to match users with nearby players for matches. Once two users are matched, they may exchange a proposed exact meeting location for the match through the app.

Usage Data

• Match history and statistics
• Team memberships and interactions
• Messages sent through the platform, and reports you submit about other users or content
• Device information and app usage patterns
• Push notification token for your device

Payments and Payouts

• Entry fees for paid games, tournaments and leagues are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; Matchply does not receive or store your full card number. We keep a record of each payment (amount, status, refunds).
• Organizers and hosts who receive payouts provide identity, tax and bank details directly to Stripe (Stripe Connect). Matchply stores only the Stripe account reference and payout status.
• Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed with RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status, not your payment details.

Hosts of Tournaments and Leagues

If you apply to host events, we collect the information in your host application. For an event that offers a prize, we may also ask for details about the prize and its sponsor and for supporting documents. We use this information only to review your application and events, verify prizes and keep our community safe.

Apple Health (HealthKit) Data

If you score a match on Apple Watch and allow access, Matchply starts a workout session and saves the match as a workout in the Apple Health app. During the session it reads your heart rate and active calories only to include them in that workout. This data stays on your devices and in Apple Health: it is not sent to Matchply's servers, not shared with third parties, not used for advertising or marketing, and not stored in iCloud by Matchply. You can turn off this access at any time in the Health app or in Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain our service
• To match you with other players and teams
• To send notifications about matches and team activities
• To improve our application and user experience
• To communicate with you regarding support requests
• To ensure the safety and security of our platform

Date of birth and gender are used to determine eligibility for age-restricted or gender-specific tournaments and leagues. Providing accurate information is required only for participation in such restricted events; users may still participate in open/mixed events regardless. When you confirm these details for a single event and choose not to save them to your profile, we keep only the result (whether you meet that event's requirements), not the birth date or gender itself.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• With other users as part of the matchmaking process (limited profile info)
• With service providers who assist in operating our platform, including:

• Supabase – Backend infrastructure, database hosting, and authentication services
• Stripe – Payment processing, refunds and payouts to organizers and hosts
• RevenueCat and Apple / Google – Subscription purchases and status
• Apple and Google sign-in – Account sign-in, if you choose them
• Google Maps Platform – Searching for places and venues when you type a location
• Open-Meteo – Weather forecasts for a match location (only the location coordinates are sent)
• Expo and Apple Push Notification service – To deliver match updates, team invitations, and other time-sensitive notifications to your device

• When required by law or to protect our legal rights
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (users will be notified)

All third-party service providers are contractually obligated to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify. They are not permitted to use your personal data for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage, Security and Retention

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase as our backend provider, which employs robust security measures including encrypted data transfer and storage.

We retain your personal data only for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, unless we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data – You can easily delete your account at any time through the Settings section within the app, or by visiting the Delete Account page on our website
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format by contacting us at [email protected] – we will provide this manually within 30 days of a verified request
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will also notify you via in-app notification or email.

9. California Privacy Rights (CalOPPA/CCPA Notice)

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA):

• We do not sell your personal data. Matchply has never sold personal information and has no plans to do so.
• Right to Know: You may request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to Delete: You may request that we delete any personal information we have collected from you.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

Do Not Track (DNT) Disclosure

Our app does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals at this time, as there is no industry-standard protocol for handling DNT requests in mobile applications. However, we do not engage in cross-site tracking of our users. You can control your privacy settings within the app at any time.
